Find the mines without touching one. Each number says how many of the squares around it hold a mine, and the whole game is reading those numbers against each other.

No board here ever needs a guess. Every board is played through by a solver that makes only the deductions a person could, and a board that stalls is thrown away before you see it. So every loss was a deduction sitting on the board, and when you lose, the game works out which kind it was.

Your first tap makes the board. The mines are dealt outside the square you touched and the ones around it, so a first tap can never be a mine and always opens ground.

The tiers are kinds of reasoning, not densities. The gentlest never asks you to weigh two clues against each other; the hardest expects you to hold several at once.

No ads and no account. Nothing is stored on your device unless you change a setting, and then only your settings.

HOW TO PLAY

Tap a square to dig. Hold a square to flag it; a flag you have just placed comes off again with a tap.

With a mouse, click to dig and right-click to flag.
