Both Hands
Two people, one line. One of you owns up and down, the other owns left and right, and between you the pen walks along a narrow channel to the far end.
Neither of you can do the other's part - not harder without them, impossible. One hand can't supply the other's direction, so there's no passenger and nothing to carry. And nobody can tell you what to do, because the right move depends on a hand that isn't yours.
Moving one way at a time drains the meter; a held diagonal costs nothing. Cleared channels build into a run, and the run ends when the meter empties.
Playing alone? Take one side and the computer holds the other.
HOW TO PLAY
One side holds up or down; the other holds left or right.
On a keyboard, W A S D drives one side and the arrow keys the other. Use the keyboard rather than the mouse: the game needs two directions held at once, and a mouse only reports one.
On a touchscreen, each of you holds your own side's buttons.
